The Centre for Constitutional Law and Political Institutions (CCLPI) is a research centre with a long experience, created besides/as a part of the Public Law Chair of the Faculty of Law, Bucharest University. The main purpose of the CCLPI’s activity is to promote free debate of ideas concerning the classic and the current topics of the constitutional phenomenon at the national and international level.
For more than 19 years, CCLPI has supported the elaborate study of the main tendencies in contemporary public law by theoretical analyses and discussions also applicable in practice, as well as by comparative law studies. The CCLPI members have also organised and attended numerous colloquiums, seminars and scientific sessions on public law topics, establishing during the years an academic network wherein the ideas and opportunities exchange increases the quality of research work and studies realized within the Centre.
CCLPI’s regular activity focuses on the study of Constitution. The members believe that the Fundamental Law represents the core element of the legal existence of the political community constituted in State to which all society structures directly or indirectly relate their activities. On a daily basis, the Fundamental Law provisions are applied and interpreted as the most important legal landmark for the relations between the State and its citizens. For that reason, a society with a consolidated democracy and an authentic Rule of Law State may only exist when the citizens know, understand and observe the provisions of the Fundamental Law.
Therefore, the CCLPI invite you to be a part of our scientific community and to be involved in the complicated process of knowledge and promotion of the constitutional rules and values.

Centrul de Drept Constituţional şi Instituţii Politice (CDCIP) este un centru de cercetare cu tradiţie, înfiinţat pe lângă Catedra de Drept Public a Facultăţii de Drept, Universitatea din Bucureşti. Scopul principal al activităţii desfăşurate de CDCIP este promovarea dezbaterii libere de idei cu privire la temele clasice şi de actualitate ale fenomenului constituţional la nivel naţional şi internaţional.
De peste 19 ani, CDCIP susţine, prin analize şi discuţii teoretice, dar şi cu aplicabilitate practică, studierea aprofundată, inclusiv de drept comparat, a principalelor tendinţe ce se manifestă în dreptul public contemporan. De asemenea, membrii CDCIP au organizat şi au participat la numeroase colocvii, seminare şi sesiuni ştiinţifice pe teme de drept public, construind în timp o reţea academică în care schimbul de idei şi oportunităţi sporeşte calitatea cercetărilor şi studiilor realizate în cadrul Centrului.
Subiectul central al activităţii cotidiene a CDCIP este studiul Constituţiei. În opinia membrilor săi, legea fundamentală reprezintă elementul central al existenţei juridice a comunităţii politice constituite în stat, la care toate structurile societăţii îşi raportează, direct sau indirect, activitatea. În fiecare zi, dispoziţiile legii fundamentale sunt aplicate şi interpretate, fiind reperul juridic cel mai important în raporturile dintre stat şi cetăţeni. Din acest motiv, o societate cu democraţie consolidată şi un autentic stat de drept sunt posibile numai în condiţiile în care cetăţenii cunosc, înţeleg şi respectă dispoziţiile legii fundamentale.
CDCIP vă invită, aşadar, să fiţi parte a comuniunii noastre ştiinţifice şi să vă implicaţi în procesul complex al cunoaşterii şi promovării normelor şi valorilor constituţionale.
